  17.      The _w_i_n_d_o_w_s customization panel allows the user to set certain IRIX
  18.      Interactive Desktop resources applicable to the SGI window manager
  19.      (_4_D_w_m).  The following is a list of resources configurable via the
  20.      windows customization panel:

  22.          Toolchest Orientation     (horizontal/vertical)
  23.          Keyboard Focus            (click to type/point to type)
  24.          Display Windows Overview  (on/off)
  25.          Opaque Window Move        (on/off)
  26.          Auto Window Placement     (on/off)
  27.          Save Windows & Desks      (continuously/explicitly)

  30.      If Save Windows & Desks is set to Explicitly, the Set Home Session button
  31.      can be used to save the current state of your windows on the desktop.

  33.      When Toolchest Orientation, Keyboard Focus or Display Windows Overview is
  34.      modified, a notifier appears stating that the change will not take effect
  35.      fully until the window manager is restarted.  Since 4Dwm activates these
  36.      window settings, it must be restarted to apply the changes fully.
  37.      Restarting 4Dwm usually takes a few seconds.

  47.      The _w_i_n_d_o_w_s panel saves the user's settings in the $_H_O_M_E/._S_g_i_r_e_s_o_u_r_c_e_s
  48.      file.  If the user has a ._X_d_e_f_a_u_l_t_s or ._X_r_e_s_o_u_r_c_e_s file that contains
  49.      resources that this customization panel modifies, the default files will
  50.      take precedence over ._S_g_i_r_e_s_o_u_r_c_e_s.

  75.      Like most other customization panels, the _w_i_n_d_o_w_s panel has the
  76.      ``runonce'' feature, meaning only one instance of the application will
  77.      run at one time.  Attempting to launch the application a second time will
  78.      have the effect of deiconifying the application window or popping it to
  79.      the top on the current desk.

  81.      Unlike most other SGI applications, the _w_i_n_d_o_w_s panel will not be
  82.      restored at login by 4Dwm session management.  This avoids the _w_i_n_d_o_w_s
  83.      panel being remembered as part of the user's session, when the user
  84.      chooses to Save Windows & Desks Explicitly.
